However, his entry attracted the most attention because instead of resorting to any special or VIP arrangement, the actor stood in the queue with the common devotees and waited for darshan. The video of Rajpal Yadav reaching Lalbaugcha Raja has surfaced. In this, the actor is seen standing in line with other devotees. He was seen chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ while waiting for his turn. As he gets closer to the Ganpati idol, the female security personnel present there recognize him and are seen smiling. While proceeding for darshan, some fans also requested Rajpal Yadav for a selfie. The actor did not disappoint the fans and posed for pictures with them. After this he touched Bappa’s feet and came out of the pandal. In his entire style, there was no haste or attempt to get any special facility. Actor in discussion even amidst legal case
This public presence of Rajpal Yadav has come at a time when he is also in the news due to dues of about Rs 9 crore and the long-running legal dispute related to check bounce. A hearing in this case was held in the Supreme Court on 15 September. The court had given the actor a last chance of two weeks to arrange Rs 2 crore of the outstanding amount. The court had extended the relief given to him by immediate surrender till October 5. He was also instructed to surrender his passport. This matter has been going on since 2010 and the financial dispute related to the production of the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’ is said to be the reason for it.
The controversy started over the amount taken for the film
According to the case, Rajpal Yadav and his associates had taken around Rs 5 crore from Murali Projects Private Limited for the production of their film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’. Later, checks issued to return the amount reportedly bounced. After this, seven different check bounce cases came to light against the actor. In July 2026, the Delhi High Court had upheld the conviction of Rajpal Yadav in these cases and sentenced him to three months in each case. Even before this the actor had gone to jail in this case. Later he sought relief from the Supreme Court. In September, the Supreme Court gave him relief with certain conditions, but after he could not deposit the stipulated amount, the court gave him additional time. Now the next hearing in this case is to be held on October 5.

Talking about films, Rajpal Yadav has recently appeared in Priyadarshan’s film ‘Haivaan’. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. This film is the Hindi adaptation of the popular Malayalam film ‘Oppam’.
