Because Ladakh government is organizing an internship program for the youth, in which 2000 youth will get a chance. The name of this scheme is Ladakh Youth Internship 2026. Let us tell you that applications for this program have started. Let us tell you that this internship will be conducted in 25 different government departments of the Union Territory. Not only this, the selected candidates will also be given a stipend of Rs 5,000 every month. The last date for application has been set as 5 September 2026.
When will the internship start?
Now the question is when does this internship scheme start? So let us tell you that according to Ladakh administration, this is a three-month internship program, which will start from 17 September 2026. The application process has started from 22nd August. Candidates will be given the opportunity to work in different government departments based on their skills and interest.
During the internship, the youth will get practical experience in understanding government functioning, public administration and on-ground implementation of various government projects.
Can get extension up to 3 months
According to Ladakh administration, interns will be given responsibility in different departments based on their qualifications, skills and interest. Candidates who perform well in the initial three months internship may get an extension for an additional three months. Candidates will also be given a certificate on successful completion of the internship.

Portal launched on 22 August
Jhabstok Ladakh portal was launched by Vinay Kumar Saxena, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on 22 August 2026. This is the first dedicated youth internship portal of Ladakh administration. It aims to provide the application process on a single platform to give youth the opportunity to work with government departments.
