Redmi has launched another new 5G smartphone globally. This smartphone of Xiaomi’s sub-brand has been introduced in the name of Redmi 17 5G. Additionally, the company has also introduced Redmi 17 5G. Both these phones have currently been introduced in the global market only. Its 5G variant has recently been launched in the domestic market i.e. China. Both these phones are likely to be launched in India soon. The company has recently introduced Redmi Note 17 5G in the Indian market. At the same time, preparations are going on to launch its 4G model also.
Price of Redmi 17 4G, Redmi 17 5G
The price of its 4G model starts from MYR 669 i.e. approximately Rs 16,000. This phone comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. At the same time, its 5G model has been launched for MYR 769 i.e. approximately Rs 18,000. It is launched in 4GB RAM + 128GB variants as well as 4GB RAM + 256GB variants, priced at MYR 869 (roughly Rs. 20,000). Both these phones have been launched in Malaysia. Redmi 17 4G can be purchased in Black, Deep Blue, Lotus Purple and Oak Green colors. At the same time, Redmi 17 5G has been launched in Black, Deep Blue and Vivid Orange colors.

Both these budget-friendly smartphones of Redmi come with a 6.9-inch HD+ display, whose resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels. The display of both these phones supports 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 825 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i has been provided for the protection of the display. Both these phones come with IP64 rating.
Redmi 17 5G has Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. At the same time, MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset is available in its 4G model. Both these phones come with 4GB RAM. Its 5G model will have up to 256GB of internal storage. These phones work on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Both these budget friendly phones of Redmi come with 50MP rear camera. Along with this, another secondary camera will be available. It has an 8MP camera for selfie and video calling. Both these phones have a side mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 7,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging feature.
