Apple is the most expensive fruit
There is a huge difference in the prices of many vegetables and fruits in the latest prices of the local market. Among vegetables, peas and ginger are the most expensive, while potato is being sold the cheapest. Whereas, among fruits, the maximum price of apple is reaching ₹ 180. While the cheapest apple is ₹25 kg. Guava is also being sold for up to ₹90.

What are the rates of vegetables in the weekly markets of Delhi?
Shivsagar, a resident of Nagar Panchayat Mathauli of Kushinagar district, has a vegetable business in Delhi. According to the rate he shared with Hindustan on Wednesday, onion is currently being sold at Rs 70 per kg in Delhi. Ridge gourd is Rs 40. Bitter gourd, ladyfinger, radish, brinjal, cabbage and parwal are all being sold at Rs 60 per kg.
The price of cucumber is Rs 50 and that of capsicum is Rs 80. Ghiya i.e. gourd is being sold at the rate of Rs 40 per kg. Cauliflower, Kakoda, Tinda, Jimmy Kand and Carrot are Shatkaveer. That means it is being sold at Rs 100 per kg. Mushroom is being sold at Rs 250 and jackfruit at Rs 120 per kg.
‘Vegetable market cold in Mumbai’
While the retail market of vegetables is hot in Delhi, it is cold in Mumbai. Dinanath Rastogi, who runs a vegetable shop there, told Hindustan that the Mumbai market is slow. Compared to Delhi, Bhindi is available here 20 rupees cheaper i.e. 40 rupees per kg. The price of parwal in Delhi itself is Rs 60 per kg. Cucumber is worth 40 rupees.
However, cauliflower is cheaper than in Delhi. Here its price is 40 to 50 rupees per kg. Cabbage is priced at Rs 30 and Nenua i.e. ridge gourd, bitter gourd, capsicum is priced at Rs 40 per kg. Beans are priced at Rs 60 and peas at Rs 80 per kg. Coriander is Rs 30 and brinjal is Rs 40 per kg. Ginger is Rs 200 per kg.
