Story of the film ‘Ghabaad-Kund’
The film ‘Ghabaad-Kund’ begins with a debauched landlord. At the beginning of the film, the rich landowner is shown enjoying with other women. Then a group of bandits attacks his house. The bandits first kill all the people guarding the mansion and then attack the landlord with the intention of robbing him. After the death of the landlord, robbers loot his valuables and jewelery and carry them away in a bundle. When the king of bandits sees the bundle, he puts it on his horse and sets off. But in this group there is also a dacoit named Dhura who kills his own chief by deceit and runs away with the bundle. Other bandits come after him, but Dhura has now fled.

Later in the story it is shown that Dhura gets tired and throws the bundle of jewelery in the well. And sits outside himself. Just then he hears a woman’s voice coming from the well. The story progresses and the lead character of the film, Dilip, is shown. He is living with his wife in his brother-in-law’s house. Dilip is not running any business. He is poor and his wife Soni taunts him for staying in his brother-in-law’s house all the time. His brother-in-law is also a greedy man. But Dilip is happy working in his fields. One night his wife taunts him and Dilip leaves the plate of food and runs away to the fields on his bicycle. Then four dogs follow him. Dilip becomes so afraid of dogs that he reaches the well through the forest. He hears a sound from the well and a woman tries to pull him inside. Then Dilip screams loudly in his mother’s name and he is freed from the clutches of the witch. He is the first person who comes out of the well alive.

The news spreads throughout the village that Dilip is the only person who has come out of the well alive. A police assistant comes to meet him. He asks Dilip to tell him the details related to his birth. When Dilip tells him about the day and year of his birth, he gets shocked and goes away from there. The police assistant gives this information about Dilip to a Tantrik named Khangri. Khangri wanted to loot that treasure for years. Now he came to know that Dilip is the real descendant of this treasure. But how this will happen will be known later in the story. Khangri along with another Tantrik plans to rob the well. He emphasizes to Dilip that this well can be looted on the full moon day. Dilip has to accept this because of his greedy wife and brother-in-law. But this work will be done by the hands of a virgin girl. A woman named Rangi takes her daughter to the well for this purpose and also a goat to sacrifice.
