336 km expressway will change the fate of 13 districts of Bihar! The journey will be completed in 4-5 hours

Bihar A big project to give new impetus to road connectivity has been approved. A 336 km long 6 lane greenfield expressway will be built from Buxar to Bhagalpur. After the completion of this expressway, the journey from Buxar to Bhagalpur, which currently takes about 10 to 12 hours, can be reduced to about 4 to 5 hours. This is expected to provide huge benefits to the common people as well as business and industry.

The proposed expressway will connect 13 districts of Bihar. These include Buxar, Bhojpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Munger, Nawada, Jamui, Banka and Bhagalpur. People of these districts will get better and faster road connectivity. The special thing is that this expressway will connect to Purvanchal Expressway in Buxar. This may make it easier for vehicles coming from Delhi and Lucknow to reach Bengal and North-Eastern states via Bihar.

10-12 hours journey will be done in 4-5 hours

Currently, it may take about 10 to 12 hours by road to reach Bhagalpur from Buxar. After construction of the new expressway, this time is expected to reduce to 4 to 5 hours. Since the access is controlled, there will be no intersections and traffic signals at many places on the expressway. There will be entry and exit facilities at designated places only. This will help in maintaining the speed of vehicles and reducing travel time.

Bridges will be built on many big rivers

Rivers like Son, Punpun, Falgu and Kiul will come in the path of this project. Big bridges will be built on these. Interchanges, flyovers and underpasses are also planned to connect local roads and villages.

Industry and employment will get a boost

The government is not looking at this expressway just as a transport project. There are plans to develop industrial hub, economic zone and logistics park around it. This will make it easier for industries to bring raw materials and deliver finished goods to other states. Employment opportunities can also be created by increasing new industrial activities around the expressway.

Construction will be done on PPP model

This mega project is planned to be developed on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. After getting the approval from the Cabinet, now work is being done towards preparing the DPR and starting the further process
