Genelia has shared a glimpse of this beautiful moment on her social media, in which the actress reached Lalbaugcha Raja with her husband Ritesh. Riteish and Genelia offered prayers at Lalbaugcha Raja
In the video, couple Riteish and Genelia were seen walking towards the pandal barefoot while devotees were waiting for their turn for darshan. Policemen and members of the organizing team were also present with him while passing through the crowded area. Genelia was seen carrying a coconut to offer to Bappa. After this the couple offered prayers and took blessings from one of the famous Ganapati idols of Mumbai. Now this couple has also joined the list of celebrities who have visited Lalbaugcha Raja during this year’s festival. Ranveer Singh, Shilpa Shetty, Rohit Sharma and the Ambani family have also visited the pandal this festive season.
Genelia dazzles in purple ethnic
For Darshan, Genelia chose a dark purple Anarkali kurta with light floral embroidery. She wore matching pajama and dupatta with it, which made her whole look look traditional and fabulous. She wore large oxidised silver earrings and completed her look with light makeup and a bindi. Her hair was open and light bangs were falling on her face. Ritesh came with his wife wearing a traditional white kurta-pajama, which had light yellow embroidery. While going to the crowded pandal, her simple festive look went well with Genelia’s bright purple clothes.
Lalbaugcha Raja’s 2026 theme
The experience of Ganpati darshan in Mumbai is often considered incomplete without the darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja. This famous pandal, established by the Koli community in 1934, attracts huge crowds every year. The setup for the 2026 celebrations is inspired by Mahadev, with a huge trishul placed in the centre. Temple-like entrances, stunning architectural details and dazzling lighting add to the grandeur of the setup created for the celebration.
