After smartphones, now the price of smart TV can also increase significantly. If industry sources are to be believed, there is an atmosphere of chaos among TV manufacturing companies due to the continuously increasing prices of memory components. Companies are forced to increase the price of TV. Even before the beginning of the festive season, inflation has reached its peak, due to which the entire industry may have to suffer.
Display price increase
According to the report, brands like BOE, TCL, CSOT, HKC Samsung Big companies like LG, Sony have been informed about the price hike. However, it is also being claimed in many reports that companies are not increasing the prices due to shortage of chipset or memory components, but are increasing the prices by reducing production.
Chinese display manufacturing companies such as BOE, TCL, CSOT and HKC have increased prices in September itself. However, its impact is going to be on the market in the next quarter. According to the report, most of the Chinese companies manufacturing LED/LCD panels are producing at 70% of their capacity, due to which demand is increasing and supply is decreasing. This is the main reason for increasing the price.
Companies argue that production is being deliberately limited to prevent oversupply. Because of this, profits can be secured. Big companies manufacturing smart TVs are dependent on these Chinese suppliers. Especially 70 to 80 percent of the market of 65 inch, 75 inch, 85 inch TV panels is captured by Chinese companies.
The price will increase due to these two reasons
It is being claimed in many reports that like smartphones, there is a shortage of supply of memory components used in smart TVs. In such a situation, companies have to spend more for memory components than before. On the other hand, Chinese companies have also limited the production of displays, due to which there has been a reduction in supply here too. This is increasing demand and increasing prices.
