During this, Yash was asked, ‘You earned Rs 1,500 crore from the KGF series, but you chose ‘Ramayana’ which is being made for Rs 4,000 crore?’ On this Yash said, ‘I will clear the confusion. This two-part film, to be made at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore, will also be released in Hollywood. This also includes the promotion budget of the film. This is how planning happens in Hollywood. There the promotion budget is more than the budget of the film, because it is released at the global level. Both ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Toxic’ are being presented as global films.
Why ‘Ramayana’ can be successful

At the same time, many films have flopped because everyone knows its story. On this Yash told why a film made on ‘Ramayana’ can be successful. Yash said, ‘Just a story doesn’t do anything. Everyone has their own imagination about ‘Ramayana’. In my childhood, I used to listen to the stories of ‘Ramayana’ from my grandfather and then I also watched serials and films. In films you combine entertainment and religious values. There should be a good balance between these. This is a story that has been going on for so many years. My partner Namit Malhotra is working very hard to make it. If the film is good then people will give their blessings.
Yash will play the role of Ravana in ‘Ramayana’
‘Ramayana’ is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. In this big budget film to be made in two parts, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the roles of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi Sita, Ravi Dubey Laxman and Yash Ravana. Sunny Deol is playing the role of Hanuman in the movie. Many other well-known artists are also included. DNEG is handling its visual effects work. ‘Ramayana Part 1’ will be released overseas on November 6, 2026 and in India on November 8, 2026. ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ will hit theaters in Diwali 2027.
