Rajasthan Medical Officer Vacancy 2026: Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) has invited applications for 600 posts of Medical Officer. The online application process will start from September 14.
RUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: If you have completed MBBS and are dreaming of serving the society by becoming a doctor in government health services, then the Rajasthan government has brought a great opportunity for you. Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur has released the official notification of ‘Medical Officer Recruitment Examination 2026’. This recruitment is being done on a total of 600 Medical Officer posts under the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan. Interested candidates will be able to apply in online mode through the official portal ruhsraj.org from 14 September 2026 to 13 October 2026.
Know the details of vacancies
600 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment. The distribution of posts for different categories is as follows:
Unreserved (General/UR): 216 posts
Other Backward Classes (OBC/BC): 126 posts
Scheduled Caste (SC): 96 posts
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 72 posts
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 60 Posts
Most Backward Class (MBC): 30 Posts
Apart from this, as per the rules, provision for special reservation has also been made for women candidates, widow and abandoned category.
Educational Qualification and Age Limit
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have MBBS degree from a recognized university.
Medical Council Registration: It is mandatory for the candidate to have valid permanent registration with Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) till the date of examination.
Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 22 years and maximum age is 45 years (as on January 1, 2026). Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per the rules of the state government.
Selection process and salary
Under the selection process, applicants will have to go through the process of written examination and Document Verification (DV). The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the examination. The finally selected doctors will be provided attractive pay scale and allowances as per the pay matrix and rules of Rajasthan Government.
