when was the exam
It is noteworthy that the UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test i.e. CBT mode between June 22 and June 30. However, due to a technical glitch at a center on the very first day of the examination, the examination of some candidates was affected, due to which the examination was conducted again on July 5. About 10 lakh candidates from across the country had registered themselves for this examination, out of which about 7.5 lakh candidates appeared in the examination of various subjects. Since the completion of the examination, all the students were eagerly waiting for the official answer key to match their question paper and recorded answers, which will now be out on 16th August.
What is the provisional answer key?
Let us tell you that the provisional answer key is released after the examination. In this, candidates are given a chance to register their objection. If candidates find any mistake in the answer to any question, they can challenge the same with correct evidence and documents. For this, a processing fee of Rs 200 per question will have to be paid, which will be non-refundable. After examining the objections, the final answer key will be released and on this basis the result will be declared.
