Tension continues between America and Iran. Amidst the tension, a big and very controversial announcement has been made by Iran. The Iranian Army has announced a reward of 30 thousand dollars i.e. about Rs 28,63,515 for those who kill or capture American soldiers. Iran’s Army Chief Amir Hatami said that if an Iranian woman kills or captures an American soldier, she will be given double the normal reward i.e. more than Rs 57 lakh.
According to Iran’s government news agency IRNA, Amir Hatami said that a large number of people had requested to participate in the financial help regarding this scheme. However, he did not specify when or where American troops might be targeted. Hatami said that any attacker who kills or captures a member of the US military will be given a reward equal to 30 thousand dollars from the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He further said that if any Iranian woman does this work, she will get double the reward.
Tension continues between America and Iran
The current war between America and Iran started on February 28. The administration of US President Donald Trump, along with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu government, carried out attacks in Tehran and other parts of Iran. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died on the first day of the war, after which Iran attacked American bases in Israel and neighboring Arab countries.
Iran then banned the movement of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. It is one of the world’s most important sea routes, through which the majority of the global oil and gas supply passes. This led to a sharp rise in energy prices and increased pressure on the global economy.
Both face to face regarding Hormuz
After nearly 40 days of fighting, a ceasefire was brokered by Pakistan in April. After this, a framework for peace talks was prepared in June, but later this process also broke down. Since then, sporadic military clashes have continued between Iran and America. The conflict has been mainly centered around southern Iran and Hormuz. On the other hand, attacks on commercial ships by Yemen’s Houthi rebels have also affected the Red Sea sea route, further exacerbating the regional crisis.
