Indian Oil Corporation Limited has announced its executive recruitment for 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online till 3rd September.

According to the official notification released on August 14, 2026, there are to be recruitment on many important posts like Graduate Engineer, Officer (Marketing), Law Officer, Assistant Quality Control Officer and Diploma Engineer in different grades. When can you apply?
If you want to apply for these posts, then let us tell you that the application window has opened from 14th August. The last date for filling the form has been kept as 3rd September. You will be able to submit your form only till 5 pm. Therefore, without any delay, visit the official website of Indian Oil and apply online. If everything goes as per schedule, your admit card will be issued on 15th September and Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on 24th September. However, the company has also made it clear that these dates can be changed if needed. Therefore candidates are advised to frequently check the website for any new updates.
What is the age limit?
Like every government job, there are some special rules regarding age in this too. Age will be calculated considering July 1, 2026 as the base. The maximum age for Graduate Engineers and Diploma Engineers has been fixed at 26 years. At the same time, youth up to 28 years of age can apply for the posts of Officer (Marketing) and up to 30 years of age can apply for the posts of Law Officer and Assistant Quality Control Officer. Apart from this, as per government rules, reserved categories will also be given age relaxation.
There is also demand for experience
The company has also set the condition of work experience for some specific posts. If you are filling the form for Law Officer or Assistant Quality Control Officer, then you must have post-qualification experience.
- Law Officer: Candidates must have at least two years of professional experience as on 30 June 2026. This experience should be after completing your final law degree. This may include experience of legal work in courts, tribunals, law firms, private or public sector companies, or legal work in the Central/State Government.
- Assistant Quality Control Officer: At least two years of experience has been sought for this post also. This experience should be in testing, research and development (R&D) or quality control in a laboratory of a petroleum, petrochemical, polymer or fertilizer unit. Experience from NABL accredited lab will also be fully valid.
How will your selection be?
The path to getting a job will pass through three important stages. First of all you will have Computer Based Test (CBT). After this, Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT) will be conducted, and finally you will have to go through personal interview.
A total of 100 objective questions will be asked in CBT. This paper will have two parts. Section ‘A’ will have General Aptitude, which will have questions related to Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability of English. Whereas in Section ‘B’ the examination of your subject will be taken. You will get 1 mark for every correct answer, but keep in mind that there is negative marking here also. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
CBT will have the highest weightage in the final merit list, i.e. 85 percent. Apart from this, 5 percent weightage has been given to group discussion/task and 10 percent weightage to personal interview.
To pass, candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC (NCL) categories will have to score at least 40% marks in each section and 45% overall marks in CBT. For SC/ST this limit is 35% in each section and 40% in total. At the same time, for disabled candidates, it is necessary to score 25% marks in each section and 30% marks overall.
