A major accident took place during the arrival of Ganpati idol in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai. The approximately 22 feet high Ganpati idol of Bhuleshwarcha Raja fell due to loss of balance. This accident happened at around 9:51 pm on Saturday night at Balram Merchant Road, Kabutarkhana, Jai Ambe Chowk, Bhuleshwar. The idol was being taken from Byculla to Bhuleshwar and the accident occurred about 50-60 meters before the pandal.
According to the information, one person died in this accident, while two people were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. As soon as information about the incident was received, BMC Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, Traffic Police, 108 Ambulance and BMC ward staff reached the spot.
2 dead, 5 injured as Ganpati idol falls
A total of 7 people have been affected in the accident of falling of Ganpati idol in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai. Of these, 2 people died, while 5 people are injured. According to information received from hospitals, those who died include Nevshe (33) and Brijesh Hemant Joshi (30). Vaibhav Ghenand (38), Pawan Chaurasia (25), Lavanya Ganer (5), Divya Ganer (7) and Kunal Kashid (26) are injured. However, his condition is said to be stable.

More than 10 thousand Ganesh pandals in Mumbai
Let us tell you that this year Ganeshotsav will start in Maharashtra from 14th September. There are more than 10 thousand Ganesh Mandals in Mumbai, but 2,500 Mandals have taken permission for the 10-day festival. This time around 28 lakh Ganesh idols are expected to be installed across Maharashtra. An online single-window system has been started for pandal permission in Mumbai. In this, along with BMC, NOC of Police and Traffic Police will also be available online. These applications can be made till 13 September.
