NEET UG MBBS Admission Cut Off Rank: The cut-off of private medical colleges of Bihar has been quite low this time. The lowest cut-off rank in Round-1 itself has been 7,73,574. The student ranked 7,73,574 has 258 marks.
NEET UG MBBS Admission: BCECEB has released the seat allotment result of Round-1 of UGMAC 2026 on Tuesday. Students can take admission in the allotted medical college from 27th to 31st August. NEET UG 2026 seats have been allotted on the basis of rank and choice. Candidates will have to reach the concerned institute within the stipulated period and complete the necessary process. Under UGMAC-2026, admission is being taken on MBBS, BDS, BVSc AH, BFSc seats available in government medical, dental, veterinary, fisheries and private medical and dental colleges. Information about Round-2 online counseling will be released later.
Competition becomes tight in government medical colleges, relief in private ones
This year the cut-off for government seats in Bihar has been slightly higher than last year. Last year, the closing cut-off for the Unreserved (UR) category was around 12,455, while this year it has dropped to around 12,000 ranks. The cut-off of private medical colleges of Bihar has been quite low this time. The lowest cut-off rank in Round-1 itself has been 7,73,574. The student ranked 7,73,574 has 258 marks. He has been allotted MBBS seat in Buddha Hospital and Research Institute Gayabodhi Road Gaya. Last year, in the first round, the closing rank of the private college was 421385, which was of Himalaya Medical College and Hospital, Patna.
1186238 seats allotted in NRI
A candidate with rank 1186238 in NEET UG has got MBBS seat in NRI quota. This student has been allotted a seat in MGMMC LSK Hospital Kishanganj.
Cutoff reduced in private medical colleges
It has been reported that the cut-off of government colleges is high and that of private institutions is falling. The speaker clarified that enrollment in private medical colleges has reached up to 7.73 lakh ranks, which is a big improvement compared to last year.
Unreserved: 1186238 The lowest cut-off in Muzaffarpur has been 11,917. For Bhagalpur (female) it closed at 14,513.
-BC: The cut-off for general BC was 16,718, while the last allotment of BC in Madhepura was 24,314.
-EWS: The cut-off of general EWS was 22,530, while its last allotment in Madhepura was 26,580.
-EBC: The cut-off for general EBC was 22,368, while the last allotment of EBC female in Madhepura was 2,743.
-SC: The cut-off for General SC was 1,43,894, and the last allotment of SC Female in Madhepura was at 1,56,275.
-ST: ST category has been allotted at around 1 lakh rank in Purnia and at 92,320 rank in ANMMC Gaya.
-RCG (Reserved Category Girl): Its allotment in Purnia was at rank 2,543.
-DQ (Disabled Quota): This time due to change in rules and prevention of fraud, the cut-off of disabled category has been seen between 700 to 7,100 ranks, which is quite low.

In Bihar, the system of free exit, freeze, float is implemented on the lines of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC):
– Free Exit: There is a facility of free exit in Round-1. If you have been allotted a seat and you do not want to take it, you can opt out of counseling without any financial penalty or penalty. Provided that you delete your choices before going to Round-2, otherwise you will not get free exit if the seat is allotted again.
-Freeze: If you are completely satisfied with the allotted college, then go to the allotment section and select ‘Freeze’ option and go to the college and get the physical document verification done.
-Float: If you wish to upgrade in Round-2 while preserving your allotted seat, select the ‘Float’ option.
Float students are not required to deposit fees or visit the college in the first round; They only have to upload the documents online. If you get a better college in Round-2 and you are satisfied then you can freeze, otherwise you can float for Round-3 also. You will have to pay the final fees and college visit in Round-3 only.
