NEET PG Admit Card 2026: National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the admit card for NEET PG exam. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting natboard.edu.in. The exam city information was released on 11 August 2026. NEET PG 2026 will be conducted on 30 August 2026 (Sunday). It is mandatory for the candidates appearing in the examination to carry the printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre. Apart from this, a photo ID proof will also have to be carried.

These seats include seats recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Karnataka is the state with the highest number of PG medical seats among the states. After this comes Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Plan to add 5000 new PG seats
The Central Government has approved the third phase of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for strengthening state and central government medical colleges, independent PG institutions and government hospitals. Under this, a target has been set to add 5,000 additional PG medical seats between 2025-26 to 2028-29. The government has increased the cost limit for each PG seat to Rs 1.50 crore, so that necessary facilities can be expanded in medical institutions.
There are 4,277 government and 4,939 private seats in Maharashtra.
There are 3,030 government and 4,993 private seats available in Tamil Nadu.
There are 3,568 government and 3,869 private PG medical seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Why is NEET PG exam held?
Through NEET PG, admission is given to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges across the country.
