4 Week Course: Any student who applies for this program is given exclusive online classes and study material designed by IIT Madras professors for the first 4 weeks.
Qualifier Examination: An in-house qualifier examination is conducted after completion of 4 weeks of studies.
Direct Admission: Any candidate who secures minimum passing marks in this qualifier examination is directly admitted to the BS degree program without any rank or competition.
Path open for 12th pass and college students also
The most special thing about this program is that there is no age limit in it.
12th Students: Students who have passed 12th examination can apply directly for this.
Class 11 students: Class 11 students can also apply for this and pass their qualifier exam and start studying after passing 12th.
Students from other colleges: If you are pursuing B.Tech, B.Sc or any other studies from any other college, you can still complete this IIT degree along with your regular studies.
Tremendous flexibility in studies
This BS program of IIT Madras is completely based on the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). In this, students are given many options to leave their studies midway or complete them. After completing the first year, you get a Foundation Certificate. Diploma certificate is given on completion of second year. On completion of the third/fourth year, the student is awarded the official BS degree of IIT Madras. Students can select subjects as per their convenience and decide the time to study.
