Amidst the ongoing campaign regarding the shortcomings and arrangements of government schools in Rajasthan, the government has issued a new order regarding the entry of outsiders and photo-videography in schools. According to the order, now no person will be able to enter the school premises without the prior permission of the school principal. At the same time, photography, videography, interviews or any kind of recording of students, teachers and school activities will also be prohibited without the written permission of the Principal.
Questions have started being raised regarding this order of the government. Instead of improving the system of schools, this is being seen as an attempt to prevent their condition from becoming public. Especially at a time when CJP is running a campaign regarding the arrangements and problems of schools.
Principal’s permission required
According to the instructions issued, the permission of the Principal will be required before any outsider enters the school premises. If any person reaches the school without prior permission, action can be taken against him.
Along with this, written permission of the Principal has also been made mandatory for making photos, videos, interviews or other recordings related to students and teachers in the school. That means, before recording school activities on camera, permission from the concerned officer will have to be taken.
The school also decided to broadcast photo-video
It has also been said in the instructions that the school authorities will decide whether photos or videos of school students should be made public or broadcasted or not. Due to this, questions are also being raised regarding the information about the activities taking place in schools.
It has been said that action will be taken against those who do not follow the order. In such a situation, the process of permission has become important for people reporting, inspecting or recording any incident in schools.

After this order of the government, the biggest question arising is whether the purpose of banning the entry and recording of outsiders in schools is to ensure the safety and privacy of the students or to prevent the actual condition of the schools from becoming public.
