At the same time, the meeting of the commission is going to be held today i.e. on 25th August. It is expected that in this meeting the Commission can take a decision on the result of TET. Apart from this, in the meeting, the Selection Commission can also take a decision on the advertisement for recruitment to 2107 posts of Assistant Professor in 330 private aided colleges of the state and 2615 posts of Lecturer (PGT) in Aided Inter Colleges.

Result will be released online

At the same time, if many media reports are to be believed, the result can be released any time in the last week of August. However, it has not been officially announced yet. After the release of the result, candidates will be able to check the scorecard with the help of their roll number and date of birth.

when was the exam

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 was conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026. The examination was conducted for primary level i.e. class 1 to 5 and upper primary level i.e. class 6 to 8. After the examination, the Commission had released the provisional answer key on 8 July 2026. Candidates were given time till July 14, 2026 to lodge objections on the answer key. Now after the completion of the objections process, the candidates are waiting for the UPTET result.

How many marks are required in UPTET 2026?

To be successful in UPTET 2026, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Commission. The passing criteria by category are as follows:

General Category: 60 percent

Reserved category: 55 percent

UPTET Eligibility Certificate will be given to the candidates who secure the prescribed minimum marks in the examination. This certificate will be valid for life.

How many candidates took the exam?

UP TET examination was conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026 at 955 examination centers set up in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 19,94,661 candidates had registered for this examination, out of which 17,70,714 candidates appeared in the examination. This time the total attendance was recorded at 88.77 percent.

For Primary level i.e. Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5), out of 7,83,202 registered candidates, 7,13,659 (91.12%) candidates appeared. Whereas for the upper primary level i.e. Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8), out of 12,11,459 registered candidates, 10,57,055 (87.25%) candidates appeared in the examination.

Let us tell you that this exam is only an eligibility test. The validity of the certificate obtained in this will now remain lifelong. Candidates who pass UPTET become eligible to apply for future primary and upper primary teacher recruitments.
