Actress Kangana Ranaut recently shared a video of herself getting ready to go to Parliament. In the video, she questioned people’s double standards regarding Hindu religion and spoke openly.
Kangana Ranaut shared a video on Instagram, saying, “I’m running late for Parliament, but I thought I’d share my feelings with you all. As I was posting this morning, I have a sister in the film industry. We’ve seen and been in close contact with such Hindu daughters and sisters in the film industry. We see that they are Hindu, but they have no ideology about politics or religion.”
This usually happens among youth. They’re very neutral. But as soon as you come into contact with an Islamist, whether it’s a relationship, a friendship, or a marriage, their thinking becomes so defined, they become so radically leftist, I think there’s no harm in it. Because your Constitution gives you the freedom to embrace any ideology or religion.

But when it comes to Hindu daughters… I won’t defend myself today. I won’t say I’m against item numbers, pay parity, not working in big films, boycotted heroes, or nepotism. How can you call me that? Yes, I was a moderate Hindu. If I defend myself today, who knows how many daughters won’t be able to take the leap. Yes, I was a moderate Hindu. But I’m taunted, asking, “Since when did you become a Sanghi? I want to become a Sanghi. I want to become an awakened Hindu, following the RSS ideology. I want to convert. Why can’t I convert?”
So when it comes to Hindu daughters, this hypocrisy of society, its contractors, asks for a test of fire: “You used to party 10 years ago. Okay, I used to. But today I too have to convert. I also have to become a defined and awakened Hindu. So why is that path closed for me?” So this hypocrisy and double standards of thinking will no longer work. And you guys tell me what my thoughts are. Our daughters should also have this freedom; if they want to convert to a defined and disciplined Hindu, then why not?
