America made a big confession on Monday. For the first time, America has officially acknowledged that its weapons are deployed in space. The US Space Force issued a statement saying that weapons are present in space to protect America and its allies from enemies. However, the US Space Force did not specify what type of weapons were deployed.
US Air Force Secretary Troy Meinke has given this information to the whole world. He has told that America has deployed weapons in space orbit. In his address given during the ‘Air, Space and Cyber Conference’ held at the National Harbor, he said that these weapons are capable of protecting the space equipment of America and its allies and thwarting enemy attacks.
Let us tell you that America had been keeping such missions secret, citing the need to avoid an arms race in space. Now this is the first time that America has directly acknowledged the presence of ‘space control weapons’ in orbit.
What are ‘Space Control Weapons’?
According to the US Space Force, these weapons include physically attacking or kinetic weapons such as interceptor or impact systems and non-kinetic weapons such as lasers, jammers and electromagnetic weapons systems that can be disabled without causing destruction. These weapons can be used to destroy the radar of enemy satellites, cut off their contacts or to directly destroy any threat.

Space Force officials have described the two countries as enemies. One of these is China and one is India’s friend China. America has said that China and Russia are aggressively trying to make space a battlefield and it is necessary for America to take steps in response.
