Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has invited applications for 874 Junior Engineer (JE) posts. Eligible candidates can apply online at sso.rajasthan.gov.in from 16 August to 14 September 2026.

RSSB JE Recruitment 2026: If you have studied engineering and are dreaming of a permanent government job, then there is big and wonderful news for you. Rajasthan government has opened the box of jobs for unemployed youth. The wait for the youth who were sweating day and night for a long time in preparation to become Junior Engineer (JE) is now completely over. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has invited applications for 874 Junior Engineer posts through bumper recruitment. This recruitment is being done for many important government departments of the state. These include big names like Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). So if you also want to secure your place in the government department, then tighten your belt.

When and how to apply?

First of all, let us tell you that the application process has started. You can fill your form from 16 August 2026 to 14 September 2026 (11:59 PM). You do not need to visit offices to fill the form, the entire process has been kept online. Just go to the SSO portal of Rajasthan Government and submit your application. Do not wait for the last date, because sometimes at the last moment the website server gets down and many students miss filling the form. Therefore, it is better to complete your form on time.

Complete details of posts

According to the official notification issued by the board, a total of 874 posts are to be recruited. Out of these, 793 posts have been earmarked for non-scheduled area, while 81 posts have gone to the account of scheduled area. Let us explain to you in simple language how much space is vacant in which department –

Public Works Department (PWD): There are 351 posts for civil degree holders, while 42 posts have been created for civil diploma holders.

Water Resources Department: There are 72 vacancies for JE Civil (Degree) and 179 vacancies for JE Civil (Diploma) in this department.

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED): Here there will be recruitment for 47 posts of JE Civil (Degree) and 151 posts for Civil Diploma people. In the same department, 32 posts have also been kept for Mechanical and Electrical (Diploma).

Keep one important thing in mind, if you want to apply for different categories of posts, you will have to fill separate forms for each.

Who can apply?

To participate in this recruitment, you must be at least 18 years of age. At the same time, the maximum age limit has been fixed at 40 years. Age will be calculated considering January 1, 2027 as the base. However, if you come from reserved category, you will also be given age relaxation as per the rules of Rajasthan Government. Talking about education, you must have an engineering degree or diploma in any one of the trades, civil, mechanical or electrical.

Complete method to apply

If you are filling the online form for the first time, there is no need to panic. You can fill your form yourself by following these easy steps:

1. First of all, open the SSO portal of Rajasthan (sso.rajasthan.gov.in) on your mobile or computer.

2. Log in to your account by entering your SSO ID and password.

3. After this, click on the option ‘Recruitment Portal’ visible on the screen.

4. There you will see the link of “Rajasthan JE Recruitment 2026”, select it.

5. If you have not yet done OTR (One Time Registration), the system will ask you to complete it first.

6. After this the application form will open, fill all the asked personal and educational information carefully.

7. Upload your important documents, photo and signature in the correct size.

8. Before submitting the final form, check all the details carefully so that there is no spelling or number mistake.

9. Finally submit the form by paying the fees. Keep the printout of the application and application ID safe with you for future reference.

what is the exam pattern

After filling the form the real game starts with exam preparation. RSSB has told that this examination can be conducted next year i.e. in February 2027. On what will be the method of exam, the board has said that it can be computer based (CBT), tablet based (TBT) or even on old style OMR sheets. Definite information about this will be given some time before the examination. Talking about the paper, it will be of total 120 marks and you will get 2 hours to solve it. In the paper of Civil Engineering students, along with technical questions related to their subject, questions from General Knowledge of Rajasthan will also be asked. All questions will be of multiple choice, so you will have to take care of accuracy.
