UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Recruitment 2026: There is a great news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the official notification for recruitment to 1,251 posts of Livestock Extension Officer in the Animal Husbandry Department of the state. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to apply online for this recruitment process by visiting the official website of UPSSSC upsssc.gov.in.
Important Dates and Application Process
According to the notification issued by the Commission, the online application process for this recruitment will start from 9 September 2026. The last date for application has been fixed as 29 September 2026. The last date for submission of application fee has been fixed as 29 September 2026. Candidates will be able to make corrections/amendments in the application form till 6 October 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their registration well in time without waiting for the last date so that they do not face any technical problem on the website server in the last days.
Educational qualification
To apply for the post of Livestock Extension Officer, it is mandatory for the candidates to have these qualifications:
UPSSSC PET Scorecard: Candidates must have a valid scorecard of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) conducted by the Commission. On the basis of this PET score, candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed 12th (Intermediate) examination with Biology or Agricultural Science as a subject from a recognized board or must have obtained Diploma or equivalent degree in Animal Husbandry and Dairy.
age limit
To participate in this recruitment process, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. According to the rules of Uttar Pradesh Government, candidates belonging to reserved categories like Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class and Persons with Disabilities will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
Application fee is only Rs 25
The most special thing about this recruitment is that the Commission has fixed the application fee for all categories (General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST) at only Rs 25, which can be paid in online mode.
selection process
Candidates will be selected through two stages:
Shortlisting based on PET Score: Candidates from among the applications received will be shortlisted for the Main Examination on the basis of their PET Marks.
Main Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the subject-specific main written examination conducted by UPSSSC. After this, document verification and final merit list will be released.
